Project | 01 University of North Dakota Housing Website

This project began with a cognitive walkthrough of the site, where I noted any issues users might face as they navigated through the interface.  I then completed a hierarchical task analysis in order to better understand the interface's navigation and the steps required to complete each task.  Next, I completed user testing sessions to get an idea of how users experienced the interface, noting common themes across testing sessions.  Working with a group, we organized the website’s content in a way that made sense to us, while keeping the user testing results in mind.  Finally, paper prototypes were created and tested, which led to the creation of a low-fidelity prototype.  The low-fidelity prototype, as well as the original website, were tested using eye tracking software.  Personas and card sorts were also conducted during focus group sessions with current students.  Information was presented to the clients at each stage and client feedback was taken into consideration prior to moving forward in the project.

Project | 02 Valley Dairy Website

This project began with a cognitive walkthrough of the site, where any issues users might face as they attempted to navigate through the interface were noted. A hierarchical task analysis was completed in order to gain a deeper understanding of the interface's navigation and the steps required to complete each task.  User testing sessions were then conducted in order to get an idea of how users experienced the interface.  I noted common themes across testing sessions and compiled a cohesive report to submit to the client.  Lastly, taken all of the information gathered into consideration, I conducted a heuristics evaluation using Jakob Nielsen's 10 usabilitly heuristics for interface design.

Project | 03 Valley Dairy App

This project began with a hierarchical task analysis  in order to gain insight regarding the interface's navigation and the steps required to complete each task.  Next, I conducted a cognitive walkthrough of the app, where any issues users might face as they attempted to navigate through the interface were noted.  User testing sessions were then completed in order to get an idea of how users experienced the interface.  I noted common themes across testing sessions and compiled a cohesive report to submit to the client.  The content within the app was reorganized using affinity diagramming techniques.  Lastly, taken all of the information gathered into consideration, I conducted a heuristics evaluation using Jakob Nielsen's 10 usabilitly heuristics for interface design.
