​I have a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology and currently serve as Director of Institutional Effectiveness at St. Norbert College. I have a proven record of implementing solutions that impact change, successful strategic decision-making and planning, improvements in operational efficiency and flexibility, and a passion for collaborative teamwork. I enjoy tackling complex problems and building systems that make a difference.

 

I have also conducted my own research projects, taught courses, written grants, supervised undergraduate research assistants, and managed lab activities.

Director of Institutional Effectiveness, St. Norbert College

November 2020 - Present

 

In this role, I oversee a team of three full-time employees and two student employees. I help oversee the coordination of assessment of student learning outcomes, support institutional accreditation efforts, and oversee the administration of external and locally developed higher education surveys--including the statistical analysis, interpretation, and reporting of survey findings.  I develop and update data visualizations and interactive dashboards (primarily using Tableau), refine research questions, construct datasets and extract data, conduct statistical analyses, summarize research findings. Our office also works to support faculty, staff, student, and collaborative scholarly research efforts. I assure the accuracy, coordination, and timely provision of data to internal and external stakeholders and facilitate its use in promoting effective institutional decision-making. I also continue to serve as the institution's Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) keyholder.

Senior Research Analyst, St. Norbert College

March 2020 - November 2020

 

As Senior Research Analyst, I developed and maintained data queries in campus-wide information system (BANNER) and construct and run data extraction reports (Business Objects), served as the institution’s Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) keyholder and liaison to multiple campus units to collect and authenticate institutional data required by the U.S. Government; the Higher Learning Commission, and the Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, and maintained the Common Data Set and CDS web page, and conducted peer and aspirant benchmarking. I consult with mid- and senior-level administrators to design and implement surveys, research projects, data analyses, and interactive data visualizations in service of assessment of student learning outcomes, strategic planning, institutional accreditation, and institutional research

As a Research Analyst, I prepared, initiated, and implemented survey and other data collection and research efforts. I also helped refine research questions, construct datasets, conducted statistical analyses, summarized research findings, created interactive data visualizations and dashboards, and prepared reports and presentations in support of requests from various units on campus and of accreditation efforts.

I served as an Intern, was hired as a Case-Manager, and was promoted to a Program Manager.  As Program Manager, I case-managed residents, oversaw day-to-day operations, supervised employees, developed data tracking system to better track program statistics and evaluate the success of the program and individual clients, and submitted yearly grant reapplications and biannual grant summary reports.
